Attendees of an upcoming Temple University program will seek to understand Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania business climates, discover business opportunities and find U.S government resources for doing business there.

Temple’s Small Business Development Center’s Going Global Series Event, “Doing Business in Ghana, Kenya & Tanzania,” will be held June 18 on the university’s Main Campus in Philadelphia. Ken Charette, an attorney in Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba, P.C.’s Corporate, Business and Banking and Healthcare Groups, will speak on the subject of “Contractual Considerations When Engaging in Cross Border Business Relationships.”

The three countries have growing industrial economies, as well as significant United States resources available to assist business owners looking for export opportunities in emerging markets. Key sectors of interest include: Renewable energy, transportation, electricity transmission, and distribution, telecommunications (IT and cybersecurity), mining, and traditional energy. Other export opportunities will also be highlighted.

Additional speakers will include Anna Humphrey, Strategic Communications, United States Trade and Development Agency and
Dale Foote, World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia.
