FLB Attorney, Tim Charlesworth, was a speaker at the Harrisburg, PA World Trade Center’s 18th Annual International Trade Conference on May 25. Tim’s presentation focused on Export Legal Compliance and Anti-Bribery/Corruption considerations in overseas business.
Companies were cautioned to keep their Export Compliance Policies up-to-date, and the presentation emphasized that careful recordkeeping is critical. Tim also stressed the need for a “team approach” in building and maintaining a successful export program. This team includes company personnel in various levels and departments, as well as outside accountants, attorneys, insurance consultants, freight forwarders and other experts.
