The United States Small Business Administration (SBA) has issued a warning about email scams related to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and its borrowers.
Borrowers are reporting receiving emails from “sba-attorneys.com” that inform the recipient PPP funds were issued to them erroneously and action must be taken to avoid “potential criminal liability.”
This email is a scam and should be deleted or marked as spam upon receipt. As with other email scams, replying to the sender or clicking on attachments or links in the email could compromise your data security.
If you have questions about your PPP loan, contact your lender or anyone on our Corporate Business & Banking team.
