Marie K. McConnell, shareholder and attorney in the Firm’s Corporate, Business & Banking group, discussed the importance of understanding legal issues affecting nonprofit Board service at Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley’s “Project Blueprint” program on Wednesday, April 27 at Olympus Corporation of the Americas in Center Valley, PA.
Project Blueprint is a leadership development program with the goal of increasing the number of ethnically diverse volunteers who serve on the boards of Lehigh Valley nonprofit organizations. The program spans six sessions and covers various topics. The goal of Project Blueprint is to help organizations develop boards that are more reflective of the culturally diverse communities they serve.
Marie K. McConnell’s practice focuses on commercial transactions, including entity selection, formation and restructures, nonprofit mergers and affiliations, commercial real estate and taxation. Ms. McConnell’s practice also concentrates on tax exemption hearings and tax assessment appeals.
