Administrative Assistant – Litigation

We are seeking an experienced Litigation and Family Law Legal Assistants to join our dynamic legal team. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in the legal field, the successful candidates will provide crucial support to our attorneys, focusing on tasks that are key to successful case outcomes in both litigation and family law. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, proofread, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence to clients and opposing counsel.
  • Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, and client meetings.
  • Maintain client files and case management systems, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring they are updated and organized.
  • Conduct legal research as directed by attorneys, summarizing findings clearly and efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, courts, and service providers.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including preparing trial exhibits, organizing trial notebooks, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Answer phones and provide professional, empathetic, and client-focused service.
  • Perform administrative duties such as filing, copying, data entry, and billing.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, particularly in litigation and family law.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and legal research software.
  • Knowledge of court procedures and rules, both state and federal.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Familiarity with case management software.
