Joseph A. Fitzpatrick, founding member and shareholder of Fitzpatrick, Lentz & Bubba, P.C. (“FLB”) will be a featured speaker at the Commercial Real Estate Development Association I.CON Annual Event, sponsored by NAIOP, an international development association. The program is part of a two-day event to be held in Toronto, Canada on Wednesday and Thursday, March 8-9, 2017. Fitzpatrick will address the transformation of large encumbered and restricted land areas formerly owned by Lehigh Valley International Airport into job-producing industrial projects, focused on the development process and the unique hurdles presented.
“Our regional’s commercial airport was presented with a daunting challenge and I was excited to be brought onto the Rockefeller Group’s team in structuring the transactions, overcoming property and title obstacles, working through governmental permits, and bringing together a tremendous distribution facility with the involvement of FedEx Ground,” said Fitzpatrick. “The role of private companies in heavily underwriting major public infrastructure projects was a highlight of producing a job creating, tax generating catalyst for economic growth on underutilized, tax-exempt land. I am excited to share our experiences with all of the NAIOP program participants.”
Joining Fitzpatrick in this presentation will be Clark Machemer, Senior Vice President and Regional Development Officer of The Rockefeller Group, and Don Cunningham, President and CEO of Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation.
