International Business Series Kicks Off April 27

This spring, several members of our Corporate Law and Litigation teams will collaborate and present a three-part series about international business legal topics in conjunction with the Small Business Development Center of Lehigh UniversityLehigh Export Network, and the World Trade Club of Lehigh Valley. Each event will be held virtually for one hour, including a Q&A session at the end.

The first session will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. as Timothy D. Charlesworth and Joshua A. Gildea present “International Trade: Trade Secrets, Distributor Agreements and Sales Contracts.” Specifically, this event will address the following:

  • Distribution Arrangements vs. Other Market Entry Structures: Legal Advantages and Risks
  • Contracts with your Customers: Re-sellers and End-users
  • Protecting your trade secrets
  • Expanding or Ending the Relationship; Transition Planning and Strategies

In his legal practice, which includes numerous businesses involved in international commerce, Tim helps his clients comply with legal requirements, negotiate contracts and handle problems when they come up. Many of those problems, however, can be avoided by stronger preparation and documentation.

Josh serves as Co-Chair of FLB’s Litigation & Trial Practice. His practice includes commercial litigation, civil litigation, bankruptcy, complex commercial matters, landlord-tenant and construction matters. He also practices in the area of intellectual property law.

Elyse’s practice primarily focuses on assisting clients with a variety of commercial transactions, including entity selection, corporate governance, asset purchases and sales, and contracts. She also specializes in intellectual property, experienced with both U.S. and international trademark filing, enforcement and litigation.

With prior experience in international corporate work, Vanessa’s practice involves providing advisory and litigation support on various matters, including corporate governance, business reorganization, entity restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactional and trial-related matters.
