Marie K. McConnell, shareholder in the Firm’s Corporate, Business & Banking Group, will be speaking at the Pennsylvania Community Development and Finance Corporation’s Evolve Her event on Thursday, September 13.
The educational workshop is focused on advancing women-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs. It will be hosted at Filino Estate Vineyard & Winery in Kutztown. Attendees will learn from top women in various industries throughout the business community, as well as network with like-minded small business owners. Learn more about the event here.
Ms. McConnell will be presenting a “Best for Her” segment, focused on choice-of-entity and entity formations. She will walk attendees through the different business structure options, including how to obtain a Benefit Corporation, or “B Corp”, certification, and how to know which option fits you, and your fledgling company, best. With a background in economics, including an L.L.M. in Taxation, she is well-equipped to speak on such matters, and as a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Lehigh Valley, Ms. McConnell is no stranger to organizations with the goal of supporting professional women at all stages of their careers.
