FLB hosted its 7th Annual Pre-Law Shadow Program on February 8, 2019. Twelve college and high school students from around the Lehigh Valley attended the day-long program. The aim is to offer first-hand exposure to students interested in learning more about the practice of law. The students were selected from a large pool of applicants to participate in the event.
“It’s an experience I wish I’d had when I was younger and considering my own interest in law,” said Abigail M. Martin, attorney in the Firm’s Corporate, Business & Banking Group and director of the Pre-Law Shadow Program. “FLB is one of the only law firms in the Lehigh Valley that does anything like this, and I really hope the program inspires students to explore the opportunities a career in law has to offer.”
Throughout the day, the students visited the Northampton County Courthouse, where they sat in on court proceedings and spoke with the Honorable Michael Koury, Jr. They then returned to enjoy lunch with several FLB associates, and engaged in open discussions with several of the Firm’s shareholders from a variety of practice areas.
FLB is proud to offer such experiences and support to the next generation of Lehigh Valley legal professionals.
