Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba is pleased to announce that Shareholder and Family Law Attorney Amy Kruzel has been appointed to the Board of Directors at North Penn Legal Services (NPLS), a nonprofit organization providing civil legal aid to low-income residents of twenty counties in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
For nearly 60 years, NPLS has offered free legal representation in non-criminal matters, such as disability advocacy, eviction from housing, employment discrimination, family law and consumer protection issues. The NPLS board members play critical roles in moving non-profit organizations forward. The main responsibilities of board members include promoting the NPLS mission and purpose, planning and evaluating the organization’s work, and establishing policies to guide that work.
As a member of the firm’s Family Law Group, Ms. Kruzel offers dedicated legal guidance and representation to individuals and families in all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody stipulations, agreements in support, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and property settlement agreements. While she is prepared to aggressively advocate on behalf of her clients in the courtroom if necessary, Ms. Kruzel draws on her mediation experience to achieve amicable resolutions whenever possible.
Ms. Kruzel is as committed to the community as she is to her clients. In addition to her new role at NPLS, she serves on the Executive Leadership Board of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and was a local candidate for Woman of the Year in 2015 and a national candidate in 2020. She also helped develop and continues to teach Positive Conflict Resolution & Mediation Skills at the Easton Area Middle School, a class that is now a graduation requirement. Additionally, Ms. Kruzel is a volunteer at the legal clinic at the Bradbury Sullivan LGBT Community Center. She is a member of The Judge Donald E. Wieand Barristers Inn and Treasurer of the Family Law Section of the Bar Association of Lehigh County.
As we congratulate Ms. Kruzel on her appointment, we extend our gratitude to Shareholder and Attorney Steven Boell, who served on the NPLS Board of Directors for three terms, a total of nine years.
