Abigail M. Martin, member of the Firm’s Corporate Business & Banking Group, spoke at the Pennsylvania Community Development and Finance Corporation’s Evolve Her event on Thursday, September 12.
The educational workshop is focused on advancing women-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs. It was hosted at the Folino Estate Vineyard & Winery in Kutztown. Attendees heard from top women in various industries throughout the business community, as well as networked with like-minded small business owners.
Ms. Martin attended as part of a group of esteemed speakers, who discussed strategies to ensure financial well-being when starting a business. Her presentation focused on outlining the entity selection and formation process and describing the benefits and drawbacks of each type of business organization. She also discussed the various financing options one has when starting a business and explained the commercial loan process – from application to closing.
As a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) of the Lehigh Valley, she is no stranger to organizations with the goal of supporting professional women at all stages of their careers. With years of experience advising clients in the corporate sector, Ms. Martin is well-equipped to speak on such matters, and is adept in advising her clients on the most advantageous course of action at all steps of the business process.
