Even the Grinch’s heart would have melted at the sight of all we collected for Communities in Schools of the Lehigh Valley. For our “30 Acts of Giving” campaign, FLB held a drive for toys for all ages; from pre-school all the way through high school. The gifts are then to be placed in pre-wrapped boxes and given to students in need this holiday season. There were soccer balls, footballs, Barbies, Hot Wheels, and bags upon bags of other items, all from FLB employees. With so many gifts, we nearly put Santa out of business!
Communities in Schools “is the nation’s largest dropout prevention organization bringing coordinated, integrated student supports into public schools to meet the needs of at-risk students.” In the Lehigh Valley, the organization provides programming before, during, and after school to over 25,000 students from kindergarten through 12th grade in 28 schools and community-based sites.

As part of FLB’s 30th Anniversary, we decided to give back to the community that has helped us through the years. Our “30 Acts of Giving” campaign entailed collecting donations for and volunteering our time at 30 local charitable organizations.
